W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute
Founded in the summer of 1988, the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute is a nonprofit that provides exposure to science and technology, and with leadership, scholarship, community service, and entrepreneur training to high-achieving youth attending secondary schools.
Housed at Princeton University, the private leadership development organization was established with the aim of solving some of society's most intractable problems - including poverty, urban decay, and dysfunctional family structures -not by attacking problems, but by strengthening the solution.
Developing a cadre of knowledgeable leaders and activist scholars with a sense of community purpose is the focus of the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute. It provides training to equip them with the skill and confidence to function as activist scholars for change in their schools, local communities and the society at large.
